Two capsules in the line pair CBD with CBG, and both are built for the morning. That is not a coincidence, and it is worth explaining rather than asserting.
Educational content only. This article is not medical advice. If you take medication, have a health condition, are pregnant, or are planning surgery, talk with a qualified clinician before adding CBD to your routine.
What CBG is
CBG is cannabigerol, and its interest lies in where it sits in the plant's chemistry.
Its acid form, CBGa, comes first. Enzymes in the growing plant convert CBGa into the acid forms of the other major cannabinoids — CBDa among them. That is why CBG is sometimes called the parent cannabinoid, and why relatively little of it survives to appear in a finished flower.
Scarcity is the practical consequence. CBG is harder to come by than CBD, which is why a formula containing a meaningful amount of it is less common than one that does not.
Where it appears in the capsules
RESTORE — 30 mg CBD with 10 mg CBG, sesame oil base, built for the morning.
RELIEF — 30 mg CBD with 10 mg CBG and 10 mg CBN, sesame oil base, made for either end of the day.
ACTIVE is the third place CBG shows up, but in its acid form: 20 mg CBDa with 20 mg CBGa, in a raw flower base. That is a different proposition, and the acidic cannabinoids article covers it.
Why the daytime side
In the Healing Essence line, CBG and CBN sit on opposite ends of the day. RESTORE pairs CBD with CBG in the morning. RELAX pairs CBD with CBN in the evening. Same base, same CBD, one cannabinoid swapped.
That symmetry is the design, and it is the clearest thing we can tell you about it.
What we will not do is tell you that CBG is energising and CBN is sedating. You will see that framing a great deal in CBD writing, and it runs considerably ahead of what the research supports. The honest version is that the formulas were built around that distinction, and that human research on both cannabinoids is early and limited.
If you want to know whether the daytime formula suits your day better than the evening one, the only reliable method is the unglamorous one: try one, consistently, for a fortnight, and write down what you notice.
Choosing between RESTORE and RELIEF
Both carry CBD and CBG at the same amounts. The difference is that RELIEF adds 10 mg CBN.
RESTORE if you want your morning capsule to stay a morning capsule, and you are keeping daytime and nighttime clearly separate.
RELIEF if you would rather not run two bottles. It carries both cannabinoids, and is formulated for morning or evening use.
The trade is between separation and simplicity, and neither answer is the clever one.
A note on the base
RESTORE and RELIEF are both sesame oil capsules. That base pairs chosen cannabinoids with sesame oil, and our formulation materials describe it as the quicker-release route of the two.
If you would rather have the plant in a broader, less processed form, the raw flower capsules are the other half of the line — and ACTIVE is where CBG appears there, as CBGa.
