Tinctures make sense when you want flexibility. Topicals make sense when you want something you can apply exactly where you choose. But a daily routine asks a different question: how much thinking do you want to do every time you take CBD?
That is where capsules become interesting.
A capsule is measured, portable and uncomplicated. No dropper. No counting drops. No bottle on the bathroom counter reminding you that you still have a decision to make.
But convenience is only half the story. Healing Essence capsules are not one formula poured into six different bottles. They use different cannabinoid combinations, different botanical ingredients and — the part most people miss — two different bases.
Understanding that split makes the rest of the line considerably easier to navigate.

The two capsule bases
Not all capsules are built the same way. With Healing Essence, the first useful question is not "which cannabinoid do I want?" It is "which kind of capsule fits the way I want to use it?"
The line begins with two different bases.
Raw flower capsules — ACTIVE, RENEW and CALM — keep more of the plant in its original form. They are full-spectrum formulas with a broader range of naturally occurring cannabinoids, including a higher proportion of cannabinoid acids such as CBDa and CBGa. They move through the digestive system, and are formulated for a slower release and a longer window than the sesame-oil capsules.
Sesame oil capsules — RELAX, RESTORE and RELIEF — take a different route. These pair specific cannabinoids with sesame oil. Our formulation materials describe this delivery route as moving through the lymphatic system, with higher cannabinoid bioavailability and a quicker release than raw flower.
Neither base is automatically better. They answer different questions. Broader plant chemistry and slower release on one side; targeted cannabinoid combinations and quicker delivery on the other.
If you are new to the line and genuinely unsure, that is the first fork in the road — and it is a more useful one than picking by product name.
The six formulas, and what each one is actually for
Here is the thing we want to be straight about: it would be easy to say that every capsule in this line supports inflammation, discomfort and stress. Technically defensible, and completely useless to someone trying to choose.
So here is each formula's actual job in the line.
Raw flower
ACTIVE — 20 mg CBDa + 20 mg CBGa
The morning raw-flower capsule for someone who specifically wants the plant's acidic cannabinoids, CBDa and CBGa, rather than a conventional CBD-led formula. Made from "Ringo's Gift" and "White CBG" flower. This is the most distinctive formula in the line, and the one that is hardest to find anywhere else.
RENEW — 20 mg CBD + 2 mg THC
The fuller morning ritual: a raw-flower CBD formula with low-dose THC, plus ashwagandha and cacao, for someone who wants plant complexity and botanicals in a single daily capsule. Made from "Valentine" flower.
CALM — 20 mg CBD + 2 mg THC
The evening counterpart to RENEW. The same raw-flower CBD and THC foundation, paired with valerian root, lavender and tulsi basil, built deliberately for the end of the day. Made from "ACDC" flower.
Sesame oil
RESTORE — 30 mg CBD + 10 mg CBG
The focused morning sesame-oil option, pairing CBD with CBG for someone who prefers a targeted daytime formula over the broader chemistry of raw flower.
RELAX — 30 mg CBD + 10 mg CBN
The focused evening sesame-oil option: a simpler two-cannabinoid formula built around CBD and CBN, for people who want their nighttime capsule clearly separated from their daytime one.
RELIEF — 30 mg CBD + 10 mg CBG + 10 mg CBN
The most flexible capsule in the line, combining all three cannabinoids for morning or evening use, for someone who would rather not split CBG and CBN across two separate bottles.
The shelf logic, in one view
Once you see the line this way, it stops being six products and becomes four decisions.
| Morning | Evening | Either | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raw flower (full spectrum, slower release) | ACTIVE · RENEW | CALM | — |
| Sesame oil (targeted cannabinoids, quicker release) | RESTORE | RELAX | RELIEF |
- ACTIVE is the acidic-cannabinoid outlier — CBDa and CBGa, not CBD.
- RENEW and CALM are the botanical raw-flower pair: morning and evening, same foundation, different herbs.
- RESTORE and RELAX are the targeted sesame-oil pair: morning and evening, same base, one cannabinoid swapped.
- RELIEF is the flexible one, for people who do not want to run a pair.
What is in a capsule
Every figure below is per capsule. All six come as thirty "0"-size capsules per bottle.
| Formula | Base | Per capsule | Botanicals | Typical timing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ACTIVE | Raw flower | 20 mg CBDa + 20 mg CBGa | — | Morning, with breakfast |
| RENEW | Raw flower | 20 mg CBD + 2 mg THC | Ashwagandha, cacao | Morning, before breakfast |
| CALM | Raw flower | 20 mg CBD + 2 mg THC | Valerian root, lavender, tulsi basil | Evening, an hour before bed |
| RESTORE | Sesame oil | 30 mg CBD + 10 mg CBG | — | Morning, with breakfast |
| RELAX | Sesame oil | 30 mg CBD + 10 mg CBN | — | Evening, an hour before bed |
| RELIEF | Sesame oil | 30 mg CBD + 10 mg CBG + 10 mg CBN | — | Morning and/or evening |
A note on THC: RENEW and CALM each contain 2 mg of THC. That is a microdose, included as part of the full-spectrum profile rather than for intoxication, and every Healing Essence product is formulated to stay under the federal 0.3% threshold. If you are sensitive to THC, new to cannabinoids, or subject to workplace testing, the sesame-oil formulas — RESTORE, RELAX and RELIEF — are the ones built around specific cannabinoids without it.
How to start
The useful principle here is unglamorous: change one thing at a time, and give it long enough to tell you something.
Start with one capsule. If you are new to cannabinoids or know you are sensitive, starting with half a capsule and increasing from there is reasonable.
Keep the timing consistent. A morning capsule taken at wildly different hours tells you very little. Same time, most days, for a couple of weeks.
Take it with food where the product says to. Several of these formulas specify with or before a meal, and that guidance is on each product page.
Pick one format while you are learning. Running a capsule, a tincture and a topical simultaneously makes it almost impossible to read what is doing what.
Follow the repeat-dose guidance on your product page, and do not exceed it. The windows differ between formulas.
Write things down. Timing, how you slept, how the day went. Two weeks of rough notes is worth more than a month of impressions.
Where capsules are the wrong tool
A capsule is a routine instrument. It is not a situational one.
If you want support in one specific place — a knee, a shoulder, your lower back — a topical is the more sensible choice, because you decide where it goes. If you want to adjust your amount frequently, or you are still working out what amount suits you, a tincture gives you that control in a way a fixed-dose capsule cannot.
Capsules earn their place when you have already worked out roughly what you want and you would rather stop thinking about it every day.
Safety, and when to ask first
CBD can interact with some medications. Talk with your clinician before starting if you take blood thinners, seizure medication or sedatives, if you have liver disease, or if you are preparing for surgery. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, don't start without that conversation.
Research into cannabinoids is still developing. Much of what has been studied is preliminary, and a good deal of it comes from laboratory rather than human settings. We would rather tell you that plainly than imply more certainty than exists.
